We are seeking a highly capable and driven TLM to join our team at Voxel. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring efficient operations, and advancing workplace safety through cutting-edge computer vision technologies.

What You'll Do

    • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of software engineers working on computer vision projects, specifically focused on improving workplace safety through perception systems.
    • Algorithm Development: Drive the development of computer vision algorithms and machine learning models to enhance Voxel's perception system.
    • Talent Management: Attract, grow, and retain a diverse pool of talent, providing technical direction and creating opportunities for career growth within the team.
    • Technical Guidance: Provide expertise and guidance on all technical aspects of development, including requirements, design, and implementation.
    • ML Ops Implementation: Integrate ML Ops practices to streamline model development, deployment, and monitoring processes.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering partners and stakeholders to ensure seamless organizational alignment and integration of computer vision solutions.
    • Best Practices Implementation: Implement and enforce engineering best practices, ensuring the team follows a structured and efficient approach to their projects.
    • Product Development Oversight: Oversee the successful development and delivery of computer vision models and products that align with Voxel's vision and goals.
    • Performance Excellence: Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Technical Skills Requirement

    • Computer Vision: In-depth knowledge and practical experience in computer vision techniques, including object detection, tracking, segmentation, and image recognition.
    • Machine Learning: Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
    • Deep Learning: Proficiency in applying deep learning techniques, including CNNs, RNNs, and GANs, to real-world computer vision problems.
    • ML Ops: Experience implementing ML Ops practices to streamline model development, deployment, and monitoring.
    • Software Engineering: Hands-on experience with software development and proficiency in programming languages like Python or Java.
    • Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and experience deploying computer vision models in cloud environments.
    • Data Management: Expertise in data preprocessing, annotation, and management for computer vision projects.
    • Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize and improve the performance of computer vision models for real-time applications.
    • Agile Methodology: Experience working in an agile development environment and using agile principles to deliver projects effectively.

Qualifications

    • Technical Expertise: A proven track record of at least 7 years in computer vision and machine learning, with hands-on experience in algorithm development and software engineering.
    • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a senior management or leadership role, overseeing and mentoring technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Start-up Mindset: Demonstrated success in scaling and managing engineering organizations, preferably in a start-up or similar dynamic setting.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Workplace Safety: Experience or strong interest in applying computer vision technologies to improve workplace safety.

    • Agile Development: Experience working in an agile environment, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
    • Technical Vision: Ability to provide technical leadership and direction while staying updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and ML technologies.
$200,000 - $250,000 a year
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
