Anduril’s Imaging Team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Perception group to guide the evolution of our novel infrared sensor processing system. You will leverage your experience to rapidly architect, design, deliver, and support the next generation vision based ML learning tools and pipelines for object detection, segmentation, localization, tracking, and recognition.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Leverage machine learning to enable both non-conventional imaging and conventional imaging to do classification and image segmentation
    • Lead the design, development, integration and support of machine learning based sensor processing capabilities for a variety of IR systems and modalities
    • Develop software to manage and automate the machine learning lifecycle, including data management, pipelining, labeling, and training
    • Manage model selection, training, validation, evaluation, deployment, and regression testing
    • Manage training data sourcing
    • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary software team, including as a mentor for Software Engineers from differing backgrounds
    • Deploy networks to on the edge compute
    • Travel 2-5 times per year

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and/or computer vision
    • Previously developed and deployed ML architectures for vision based products
    • Experience applying ML architectures toward live, low compute constrained environments
    • Background in software development (C++ or Python experience required)
    • Strong analytical & critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate ideas clearly
    • Team-player, self-motivated, driven, organized
    • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Familiarity with Transformers, DNN, Segmentation Networks, RCNN, YOLO, GANs, Random Forrests
    • Understands classical CV algorithms such as Optic Flow, SIFT, PCA

$132,000 - $240,000 a year
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in all offers and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
