Job Description

TBD’s Risk and Trust team is on the mission to build risk management and trust building products in the decentralized financial world that will drive monetization for TBD. We are looking for a talented and experienced Deep Learning Modeler to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and deep learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying state-of-the-art models to solve complex problems. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our products and services by creating and refining deep learning models to further our mission of economic empowerment globally and solve real world problems with decentralized financial products

 

You Will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to define project goals and develop deep learning models that address business needs
  • Design, implement, and optimize deep learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and generalizability
  • Build new models for video and image tasks, including generation and classification, trained on internet-scale datasets
  • Conduct experiments and perform statistical analyses to validate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on model designs
  • Leverage advanced deep learning techniques, such as active learning, unsupervised learning, and meta-learning, to improve model performance and address new problem domains
  • Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of deep learning, and actively contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing insights, techniques, and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback to peers, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Document and communicate model development processes, results, and insights to stakeholders, both technical and non-technical

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying deep learning models, with a strong understanding of underlying algorithms and techniques
  • Experienced designing/building deep learning models for image or video generation
  • Created deep learning video models (spatiotemporal architectures) 
  • Designed/implemented advanced generative models published in the last 3 years
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
  • Experience with data processing and visualization tools, such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Entrepreneurial and have demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone B: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone C: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
Zone D: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
