What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Analytics Engineer to help us in developing best in class data tools to deliver high quality tools and services and maintain our accelerated growth. These tools must be developed and maintained using best practices to ensure scalability and stakeholder trust as we grow in both size and scope. • Deliver direct analytical insights like dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the teams across the company to understand their use cases and deliver high value data tools
  • Live and breathe SQL
  • Ensure data quality and freshness at every step of the pipeline for data trust and consistency
  • Create reverse ETL flows to make modeled data directly to stakeholders in the tools they use to foster fast and informed decision making
  • Define and build robust DataOps pipelines and data expectations to ensure the effective delivery of data to all internal data services
  • Explore, propose, and integrate new data sources and software solutions into the reporting environment
  • Contribute to data-driven culture at BetterHelp by directly training stakeholders as well as creating resources such as documentation for empowering others to perform their own analyses
  • Enjoy great teamwork, have lots of fun, and take pride in building a world-class product that makes a difference in people's lives.
  • Partner with data and machine learning engineers and work with a modern data stack: Airflow, FiveTran, Snowflake, dbt, and Looker

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT worry about funding. We have startup DNA, but we're fully backed and funded by our parent company, Teladoc Health.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". We believe in nurturing employees’ interests and passions – even if some of them lie outside of your core responsibilities.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, egos, or bad attitudes. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
  • You will NOT get burned out. We work hard, but we also believe in maintaining sustainable work/life balance. Seriously.
  • You will NOT have to wonder why you’re doing the work you’re doing. Our day-to-day operations translate into people getting the help they need.

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate in Pacific Time and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We also ask our employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to six times per year to collaborate in person in order to build better working relationships and experience our in-office culture.
